The Eyes That Were Heard Around the World-Show #7
How can an animal abuse case that happened in Dallas, Texas impact the entire World? All you have to do is look at the photo of Mercy and see her eyes to find your answer. Jonnie England, Executive Director of Operation Kindness was our special guest to discuss Mercy’s story in graphic detail (it wasn’t too bad, but you may still need a box of tissues to make it through this show! I know I did!).

These eyes have been an inspiration to thousands upon thousands of people whom have vowed to NEVER let her memory die, or her death to be in vein. I am one of those people and this podcast is a reflection of one of those promises.
Maria Daines is another person who was so touched by Mercy and her story that Maria wrote one of the most beautiful haunting songs in honor of Mercy that I have ever heard. The name of the song is Rainbow Bridge and if this podcast doesn’t make you cry, her song sure will. Thank you Maria for such a beautiful song from your heart! The video that accompanies the song was masterfully put together and is a wonderful compliment to the song.
Larry Powell was also mentioned by Jonnie England during the interview as another soul touched deeply by Mercy’s story. Larry did extensive blogging on behalf of Mercy and Operation Kindness. I went to his site and was extremely impressed with the hard work this man does to help the animals!
Photographers, painters, artists, bloggers, writers, journalists, reporters, song writers, singers, podcasters, the list of lives touched by these eyes goes on and on and on! I was so touched by her story that I not only started this podcast to help spread the word on animal abuse, but I also created a beautiful memorial garden stone in her honor for Operation Kindness.
The stone I kept for myself:

The stone I sent to Operation Kindness:

I know I promised that her graphic photos would be on this site, but I have since decided that I would simply place a link to those photos so you can view them when you are ready. I must say, to really understand what this dog endured, you really must take a look at the photos. However, here is a photo you need to memorize as it is the face of a cold-blooded killer, Deshawn Brown and his innocent victim, Mercy:
