Reading Pet Food Labels
Welcome to Meow Skillz. This will give you a heads up on reading pet food labels. Please keep in mind that not everyting is listed. Pet food manufacturers are only required to disclose what they add to the food directly. They are not required to put on the labels anything that was already in their ingredients. Such as: if they get in meat or meat-by-products that has been preserved with BHA, BHT or any other chemical, the pet food industry does not have to disclose this in the label.
As always, I support raw feeding or fresh cooked home meals for your pet that does not contain grains of any kind.
