Well, Denver did it again, folks! Only this time they broke a fence to get to the dog to STEAL it, then returned the dog, threatening to euthanize him due to his characteristics of a Pit Bull. THEN they busted in on this poor woman with guns and brute force over a DOG THAT DIDN’T DO ANYTHING WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Help The Pawz Cauze and ROVERlution convince Denver to drop their Pit Bull Ban and begin punishing the DEED not the BREED! Below you will find the email addresses to the Denver city officials. Thank you for your help.
Also joining us today was Richard Weber, our resident Animal Astrologer. Time sure flew by as we discussed Jazz with my new friend “Purple Jack”, as well as did readings for our newest born kittens so we can do a write up about their personalities for anyone interested in adopting them when they are ready.
Mark your calanders because Richard will be back with us on November 1, 2008. If you want us to discuss your pet then we need the name of your pet as well as the Month, Day and year your pet was born. For a more accurate reading we would need the time, town, and state or country the animal was born in. Also to compare your compatability with your pet, we will need your month, day, year, time, town, state or country of your birth. You can join us by calling our show’s number during the time the show is live or you can join me in the chat room at www.radiogetswild.com and click on the “chat room” button to enter the chat room. You can also reach me during the show by using Yahoo Messenger ID rgwonair.
Denver City Officials Emails:
Once again the spotlight is on Denver, Colorado, Forrest the dog held captive, and his owner, Chris; an innocent man who thinks of his dog as his ’son’. Join us as DJ Ice speaks with Dr. Paula Terifaj and Chris LIVE at the protest. Hear as Chris tells his chilling tale of how Forrest was stolen the first time he ended up across the Denver city line and how DENVER forced him to keep his dog locked in a kennel. Now Denver is holding the dog and threatening to euthanize him over the Breed Ban Legislation they passed several years ago that has since resulted in the deaths of hundreds of family pets only because they were guilty of being the wrong breed. Forrest has never hurt anyone. Chris doesn’t even reside in Denver. His place of residence is recorded as being in Adams County; yet Denver feels the need to confine this dog and KILL him!
You hear the words, then you make your decision, then take action. Don’t allow prejudice to win. Stand up and be heard. Stand up for Forrest. Demand that he be returned to Chris.
Please feel free to pass this along and gain as many supporters as possible to stop Denver from killing this dog! Thank you. Below you will find the emails to the city officials and mayor.

Please help us save our dog!!Target:To keep our Staffordshire Terrier in Brantford, ON.Sponsored by: Elizabeth and Scott WhittinghamHeira is a 7 year old Staffordshire terrier, who has been a loved member of our family for over 6 years. We got Heira from a local animal rescue organization. She had been saved from an abusive owner who was starving her, beating her, and breeding her (she had a litter of pups at around 6 months old). It has taken us years to get her health back up but there is some unfortunate internal damage. She does not always know when she needs the bathroom. Heira has a sad story to tell, and we, her loving family, do not want a sad ending.
On Friday Feb. 15 2008 I went to city hall to get Heira her 2008 dog license. There I am told that we did not get her a 2007 dog license, thus we have three options.
1) Find her a home out of Brantford, ON Canada
2) Kill her
3) Let the SPCA take her
This is all because of City of Brantford, ON Municipal Codes Chapter 206 (the pit-bull ban). She had been grandfathered in, but by not getting her 2007 license she forfeits that clause.
If Heira was any other breed of dog there would be no problem getting her a license. If she was any other breed of dog that had a history of biting and had been deemed a dangerous dog, we would have received a $130 fine. The problem is she is a pit-bull.
Heira is an extremely loving dog. She is an 80pds lap dog who loves to play with my two year old son Quenton. Heira is our child and a big sister. I know she would die to save any member of this family, and we will not lose her without a fight!

We had the honor of discussing our favorite breed with Lisa from Bullie Buddies of Las Vegas. Not only did we discuss the positive side of the pit bull, but also their fundraisers and lots of other great things. So be sure to listen in today!
We give 4 pawz up to Lisa and the good folks who help out at Bullie Buddies of Las Vegas for helping to lend a voice to the voiceless!

We were so happy to have “Roo” with us to chat about Wallace The Pitbull who is the 2007 Purina Incredible Dog Challenge Freestyle Flying Disc National Champion!! We had a wonderful chat all about pitbulls and their “bad dag” reputation. Take a look at Wallace’s web site and see just how loveable and happy this pit bull and companion are!
Proposed breed ban of 5 different breeds across the entire state of Minnesota. Take a stand for bully breeds! Click here for more info and how to help.
Plus they are trying to raise money for the Animal Farm Foundation. Wallace has 2 limited edition discs left; one red and one blue. They will NEVER be replicated so these are the only ones left to purchase. To place your bid for one of these autographed limited edition discs follow these links:
