Dog Hero Hans Petersen on The Pawz Cauze Show

Hans Petersen was arrested for rescuing a young dog left in an abandoned and foreclosed house for over 5 days in 100 degree temperatures after LA Animal Control decide to leave the two dogs in the house for 24 hours and post a notice on the front door.
Hans Petersen did what Animal Control chose not to do, apparently for fear of the City being sued, and would have rescued the other dog but found himself in handcuffs. He was released without charge after being handcuffed to a bench for over 3 hours.
During the night another samaritan rescued the older dog from the building and dropped it off at the local Animal Shelter. Hans Petersen found a dream home on a 23 acre ranch in Colorado but had to suffer the embarrassment of being told he could not rescue the dog from the shelter because he was on an LA Animal Services ’Do Not Adopt To ‘ list .
The same was true of the other dog who Hans secured a place for at the Zen4K9s Behavior and Rehabilitation Center in LA. Hans was able to secure the release of the dogs by having others officially sign for them, but made it clear to Animal Services that it was he who would be finding them homes.
LA Animal Services have sought to blame Hans Petersen for ‘compromising their ability to prosecute the people who abandoned the dogs’ and to date accept no criticism of their in-action or decision to have a man they themselves describe as a ‘good samaritan’ arrested and detained as a criminal. We believe that LA Animal Services should take the following action:
Remove Hans Petersen from any ‘Do Not Adopt To’ list with immediate effect

Aspro the elderly dog
“ASPRO” THE DOG
Once upon a time
I was the Puppy under the Christmas tee
But I grew up & I grew old
This is what my family did to me
They took me down the stairs
To the dungeon no one can see
They pushed me in & locked the door
And “Threw away the Key”
I had no food or water
I began to lose weight
Daily came the son & daughter
To check me through the iron grate
My legs grew weaker
Until I could barely stand
I had been a loyal dog to them
Why? I do not understand
Five long weeks went by
I was lying dying on the ground
I was too weak to howl or cry
I was not wanted around
But when I did not die
They began to panic seriously
Upon the ground my body lie
They called Margo at sanctuary
They confessed their crime
Margo sent her team to get me
She knew I was out of time
Soon I was in her custody
Margo rang authorities
“We will kill him” they said
We only need “Evidence Photos”
Then he will be dead
“To hell with that” Margo said
Not after all he has been through
We will make sure he is not dead
He sure as hell is not going to you!
Margo fed & cared for me
Three months from the start
She never gave up daily
I love her with all my heart
An Englishman & his wife
They did work for Margo too
They said “Aspro is love of our life”
We are going to “adopt” you
So my story has a Happy Ending
Margo is teaching you “Never say Never”
Happy days I am now spending
I will love Margo forever & ever

London Vigil for ALL Victims of BSL
Not Guilty! A Vigil for all Victims of BSL.
Last July DDAWatch held a very successful Candle Light Vigil for Bruce.
This year we are hosting Not Guilty! A Vigil for all Victims of BSL.
The vigil will take place on Saturday 24th July from 4pm to 7pm at Richmond Terrace,
City of Westminster, London, SW1A

Everyone is welcome but please note that DOGS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO ATTEND THIS EVENT. It is our turn to
speak up for them so their presence is not required and they would prefer the sofa at home anyway!!!
We are asking everyone who attends to write a personal letter stating why they are opposed to B.S.L.
At 5pm two representatives of DDAWatch will be escorted to Downing Street to hand in your letters.
If you cannot attend but would like us to hand in a letter on your behalf please post your letter to:

We wish to share our message in a positive and memorable way.
We have a job to do, to educate the public and campaign peacefully to the
government and we need to engage rather than enrage.
We hope many of you will be able to attend the vigil and show your support
for the repeal of Section One, DDA.
Please bring cameras and soft drinks. Poster and banner ideas will be uploaded to
DDAWatch facebook group in the next few days.
